INCLUSIVE TRAVEL SUPPORT: GLOBAL DIALOGUE ON
AI GOVERNANCE
Artificial intelligence is reshaping economies, societies, and daily life. Its opportunities are real. So are its risks. No country can address either alone. AI Governance should reflect the priorities of all nations, not just the most technologically advanced and that the benefits of AI are shared by all.
On 26 August 2025, the General Assembly established, within the United Nations, the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance (A/RES/79/325) as a platform to discuss international cooperation, share best practices and lessons learned, and to facilitate open, transparent and inclusive discussions on AI governance. The first Dialogue will take place on 6 and 7 July 2026 in Geneva.
The resolution, in paragraph 11, encourages States, as well as the private sector, financial institutions, foundations and other donors in a position to do so, to support the effective functioning of the Panel and Dialogue, including by facilitating the participation of representatives and stakeholders of developing countries by offering travel support, through voluntary contributions that are made public in the interest of full transparency.
PARTICIPATION & SUPPORT
Ensuring inclusive participation is central to the Global Dialogue on AI Governance. The Digital Cooperation Fund supports the participation of representatives and stakeholders, particularly from developing countries, to enable diverse and meaningful global engagement.
Support is made possible through voluntary contributions, including both financial and in-kind support. Partners can contribute to facilitate participation and help strengthen the inclusiveness of the Dialogue.
